Welcome to Pianisticize
Welcome!
Thank you for stopping by! Pianisticize has been created with the purpose of becoming a piano portal and to create a community of keyboard and piano lovers.
This project has taken a long journey to get through. After dedicating more than a decade to piano performance and music teaching in London, I started to develop the idea of having a space to provide all kinds of piano and keyboard content, and a place for pop music and modern piano literature.
The project was 'officially' born at the end of 2020, taking a few years to come into being and much hard work. It required learning multiple tools to make it possible and I had so many different ideas I wanted to bring in: to combine lesson materials, piano arrangements, song tutorials and miscellaneous piano content on the same platform.
I am so excited to be finally able to expand this dream online. I can promise that the content will have the 'Pianisticize approach': expect arrangements with a unique character and a combination of practical exercises with a bit of academic foundation.
I can't thank my students enough for inspiring me with their song requests and ideas during their lessons, their kindness and specially for giving me the opportunity to learn from their unique way to perceive and express music. They wanted to understand and perform their favourite tunes, and that made me take a hybrid approach in their lessons, mixing classical, pop music and modern harmony to complement their musical knowledge and technique. They have been my motivation to share what I've learnt in my musical journey.
It has taken lots of trial an error to find a formula to develop piano scores for a particular level of skills and my students have been the ones testing every single mistake that I have provided through the years. I could have never done it without them. I appreciate their patience, feedback and the fact that they are keen to learn new songs and piano pieces every single week. It's been a pleasure to see them devouring piano pieces, and that's contagious!
Special thanks to Marian Medina Cuesta (@tonisunbeam) for creating such a memorable logo for Pianisticize, and for the illustration shown on this post.
I hope the content helps you with your piano practice and music learning, and that it inspires you to keep playing piano and keyboards!
